Brooklyn’s Playground at O.K. Ward Park is a community-wide volunteer effort to build the first fully-inclusive playground for the Pocatello-Chubbuck area, a place where children of all abilities can come together, interact, and grow through “the gift of play.”
11 percent of students in the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District – nearly 3,000 children – have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Pocatello and Chubbuck now have an all-inclusive playground where children can improve their physical, cognitive and social skills side-by-side with their non-disabled playmates in an inclusive environment.

Brooklyn Fisher, for whom the Brooklyn’s Playground effort is named, has spina bifida. Her parents, Jonny and Melissa, are leading the effort to build an inclusive playground for our community’s children.
